NORTHERN-BREWED INDIE POP
Made up of four school friends from the rural coastal town of Whitehaven, Cumbria, the upcoming band debuted in June 2017 with their first single ‘Julia’ which was quickly picked up by BBC Radio 1.
Since then the band has gone from strength to strength, receiving recognition from the likes of TRNSMT, BBC Introducing and Kendal Calling. Add to that their energetic shows across the north west at venues such as Manchester’s Deaf institute, Jimmy's and Leeds' Oporto and you can see that they’re here to make waves.
The upcoming band spent 2018 releasing their original live session series titled “The Committee Sessions”. Filmed and recorded entirely live in their hometown’s community hall, the series released three new songs and saw the band break 50,000 streams online.
The band have spent the first part of 2019 putting together their new EP, their first time working with producer Robert Whiteley (The Wombats, Night Cafe) and mastering engineer Robin Schmidt who has worked with some of the most popular music artists and worked on new music releases 2020 (The1975, Nothing But Thieves, The Courteeners).
From their songs and merch to their live shows, FLYNT have an undeniably clear vision. So it's no surprise to see the band being invited to record their first BBC Maida Vale session and earning a place on BBC introducing's "ones to watch" list, gaining them that all-important recognition and proving them to be unstoppable in their own right.
Their upcoming new music release is set for them to be considered upcoming pop music artist 2020
